THE AGENDA : Yankees general manager Brian Cashman will arrive in Nashville Monday morning after spending Sunday night rappelling down a building in Stamford, Conn., for his annual charity appearance.

Cashman will continue to work the trade market as the Yankees look to improve their roster without dipping into the free-agent pool for any major upgrades. Cashman said Friday that Brett Gardner and Andrew Miller are unlikely to be dealt, though these things can change with one phone call from another GM.

THE HOT RUMOR : Given their reluctance to add significant payroll this winter, the Yankees’ name has not been attached to any big-ticket free agents. But this is the Winter Meetings, so expect to hear rumblings about the Bombers making a move anyway as agents always want the Yankees involved in the bidding for their clients.

DON’T BE SURPRISED IF : Cashman pulls a deal nobody has talked about, something he did a year ago with deals for Nathan Eovaldi and Didi Gregorius.
