Marcus Mariota proved Gisele Bundchen wrong.
You can, indeed, “throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time.”
In the second half of the Titans vs. Chiefs game on Wild Card weekend, Mariota became the first player since 1997 to catch a touchdown pass from himself.
The quarterback had Tennessee in the red zone and, on a broken passing play, rolled left out of the pocket.
As multiple Kansas City defenders ran at him near the line of scrimmage, Mariota saw an open man in the end zone and threw the ball.
However, it got tipped by a defender.
Lucky for Mariota, the ball was batted down right in front of him.
He caught the ball and quickly dove into the end zone for the bizarre score.
Mariota finished with more than 200 passing yards and had two touchdowns in Tennessee’s 22-21 win over Kansas City.
