Microsoft says 104 video games from its Xbox 360 library will be support through a backward compatibility feature for successor Xbox One launching later this week.

According to a statement Monday, a platform update will arrive on November 12 for Xbox One owners which includes backward compatibility, an option where console owners can play games from the previous cycle of home devices.

Among the games available starting November 12: The full Gears of War catalog, Fallout 3, Borderlands and South Park: The Stick of Truth. Mike Ybarra, director of program management for Xbox, says more games will arrive in December including Halo Reach and all three BioShock games.

The complete list of launch titles appearing through backward compatibility are available on the Xbox website.
