The Mothership crew is joined by a Tomb Raider.

November is a prime month for video games, with the launches of blockbusters including Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Fallout 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider, the follow-up to 2013’s surprise hit Tomb Raider starring treasure hunter Lara Croft.

So who better to join USA TODAY’s geek culture podcast than Camilla Luddington, the voice of Lara Croft and one of the stars in ABC’s medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. On this week’s episode, Luddington talks about auditioning the role of Lara Croft and the clever trick she uses to simulate those intense drowning sequences in Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Plus, USA TODAY’s Kelly Lawler (@klawls), Carly Mallenbaum (@ThatGirlCarly), Brett Molina (@brettmolina23) and Brian Truitt (@briantruitt) share what movies, games and TV show we’re excited for this holiday.
