The star-filled premiere of Daniel Day Lewis’ final flick “Phantom Thread” included guitarist Stevie Van Zandt and his wife Maureen.
While waiting for the movie to start an insider overheard the amiable Van Zandt chatting with “The Blacklist” star Megan Boone at the Lincoln Center screening.
The 67-year-old bandana-clad musician said he’s been promoting his latest album, “Soulfire,” and was a little sheepish admitting that it’s his first solo effort in 20 years.
“The Sopranos” star said he’s been looking to do another TV project since his Netflix show “Lilyhammer” got canceled in 2015.
Chatting about Bruce Springsteen, Van Zandt explained why his boss may have extended his stay at the Walter Kerr Theater till the end of June telling Boone that sitting on stage and strumming a guitar for two hours is a whole lot easier than running around on stage for three-plus hours, which The Boss does.
