Ethan Cutkosky was sentenced to two years of informal probation after pleading no contest to reckless driving.
Cutkosky, the 18-year-old “Shameless” star, was arrested in November and charged with a misdemeanor DUI after reportedly smelling of marijuana.
After the no contest plea to “dry reckless driving,” charges that exclude allegations of drugs or alcohol, the Burbank city prosecutor dropped the DUI charge, Cutkosky’s lawyer told the Daily News.
“This was a fair result,” his lawyer said.

Cutkosky had been celebrating his girlfriend’s birthday the night he was arrested and the couple had posted photos on social media hours before his arrest.
He was sentenced to a $ 250 fine, which has already been satisfied, and two years of informal probation, which does not require the actor to report to a probation officer.
Cutkosky plays the second youngest Gallagher child, Carl, on the Showtime series, which also stars William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum.
