The heart wants what it wants — and Selena Gomez’s heart wants some privacy.
The singer, who is the most followed person on Instagram, made her feed private Tuesday morning as she shared a cryptic post calling out a recent profile published in Billboard.
Gomez, 25, posted a since-deleted Instagram story that appeared to take issue with the story’s opening passage, which featured Gomez casually brushing aside a giant teddy bear inexplicably lounging on her kitchen floor.
“Never will I let another human guess my words ever again. Or invite them in my home. That is so hurtful. The most ‘ridiculous’ part of that is no one knowing my heart when I say things,” she wrote over the story’s text.
The passage in question read:
“There’s a five-foot teddy bear sprawled across the kitchen floor in Selena Gomez’s North Hollywood home. ‘I know, I know,’ says Gomez, rolling her eyes, acknowledging that the stuffed animal doesn’t quite blend with the trio of armchairs nestled in the inviting, marble-accented nook. ‘It was a gift, and at first I thought, This is so ridiculous, I can’t wait until I give it away to another person.’
“But Gomez, 25, hasn’t let go of it — yet.”
The profile was published Nov. 30 as part of Billboard’s “Women of Year” issue.
Gomez, who graced the cover, seemed to have no issue with the story on Dec. 1, when she shared the cover image on Twitter and wrote, “Thank you @billboard.”
“The Heart Wants What it Wants” singer’s social media drama is the latest in what has been a roller coaster past few months.

After undergoing a kidney transplant over the summer, she split with her boyfriend The Weeknd — only to reunite with ex-flame Justin Bieber.
Gomez’s account was still private as of Tuesday morning, though the 130 million fans already following her still have access to her posts.
