This is the first look into the bloody biker gang gunfight in a Texas restaurant that left nine people dead and nearly 200 people arrested.
Shocking surveillance video shows the moment bullets start flying between two rival biker gangs as waves of panic spread through a Twin Peaks breastaurant on May 17.
Footage of the wild shootout, which was obtained Thursday by CNN, show several men ducking for cover and crawling to safety as scantily-clad waitresses run for their lives.
At least one gang member can be seen firing off a shot as he jets into the restaurant’s patio area and shoots behind him.
Another man is covered in fresh blood as he gets up off the floor and scrambles away from the gunfire.
It’s unclear who released the video, which is credited to the Waco Police Department. Officials there denied releasing the footage.
The brutal brawl between the Bandidos and the Cossacks biker gangs began after a gang member had his foot run over in the parking lot, Waco authorities had said.
“The whole incident probably didn’t last more than 90 seconds,” John Wilson, the president of Waco’s Cossaks chapter, told CNN. “It seemed like an hour when you’re lying there and people are getting shot around you, and bullets are whizzing by you.”
Nine people, all members of the two gangs, were killed in the bloody rampage and another 18 were injured, authorities said.
At least 167 people were arrested after the violent encounter. All were charged with engaging in organized crime in relation to capital murder and were held on $ 1 million bond.
A steady stream of leather-clad men can be seen in the video slowly filing out of the restaurant with their hands up.
Both gangs blame each other for the blowout, which was part of an ongoing “turf war” in Central Texas, police said.
The Associated Press in September obtained more than 8,800 pages of evidence and nine surveillance videos of the incident. Neither had been previously released to the media.
