Sarah Palin parodies Tina Fey in bizarre ‘30 Rock’ spoof

Seven years later, Sarah Palin finally has a comeback.

The former Alaska governor tried to turn the tables on Tina Fey’s longstanding Palin impression in a bizarre “30 Rock” parody video — released just days after the comedian had reprised her folksy caricature on “Saturday Night Live.”

In the fake sitcom trailer for “31 Rock,” Palin plays Lynn Melon, a neurotic TV showrunner based on Fey’s Liz Lemon who’s “putting the smackdown on political correctness” and griping about the snowflake-less Starbucks cups that enraged Christian evangelists last month.

The former veep contender gets a little help from her friends: Her ex-running mate Sen. John McCain channels Lemon’s shrewd mentor, Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin), and Sen. Lindsey Graham briefly stands in for country-bumpkin NBC page Kenneth Parcell (Jack McBrayer).

Oddly, “30 Rock” star Kevin Brown — who played Tracy Jordan’s (Tracy Morgan) sidekick Dot Com on the real sitcom — appears as well.

Palin musters a convincing enough impression of Fey’s crotchety heroine, yelling Lemon’s catchphrase “Ah, nerds!” at the writing staff, demanding Big Gulps and declaring that “‘Star Wars’ didn’t actually change cinema.”

The video, produced by the conservative website Independent Journal Review, is ostensibly a promo for Palin’s recently released book.

“We reviewed Sarah Palin’s new book, ‘Sweet Freedom: A Devotional’ — which, politics aside, is a great reminder of the pressures of PC culture,” Brown tells Melon.

“The only PC I need is right here,” Melon gestures to her laptop.

Fey had spoofed Palin on “SNL” two days earlier, as her co-host Amy Poehler reprised her famed Hillary Clinton impression alongside the sketch show’s new Clinton impressionist, Kate McKinnon.

Per the trailer, “31 Rock” is “maybe premiering next year.”
