“Sex and the City” fans are going to be disappointed.
Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed there will not be a third movie.
Parker, 52, who was attending the New York City Ballet’s Annual Fall Fashion Gala at Lincoln Center, told Extra the sad news.
“It’s over… we’re not doing it,” she divulged.
“I’m disappointed,” Parker continued. “We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”
Parker has confirmed the third Sex and the City film will not go ahead following DailyMailTV’s exclusive revelation that co-star Kim Cattrall doomed the film with her demands.
Kim Cattrall (third from left) reportedly shut down production of a third “Sex and the City” movie with her demands.
According to DailyMailTV, the film was set to begin filming this fall in New York City, but Warner Bros. studio put the kibosh on the project reportedly due to Kim Cattrall’s demands.
The 61-year-old actress who played sexpot Samantha Jones had demanded that producers back her other film projects. The studio refused and decided that the film could not go ahead with only three of the four main characters.
But Cattrall is furiously denying the claims.
She wrote on Twitter: Woke 2 a @MailOnline s..tstorm. The only ‘DEMAND’ I ever made was that I didn’t want to do a 3rd fim….& that was back in 2016.”
The HBO series finished in 2014 after six seasons but followed it with two films in 2008 and 2010.
