Russell Westbrook learns he wasn’t picked last by LeBron James

Russell Westbrook knows he’s far from a last pick in any draft.

The Thunder guard wasn’t happy when he saw the All-Star Game draft list posted by LeBron James and noticed his name was at the bottom. Westbrook tried to play it cool when asked about being selected to LeBron’s team, but teammate Carmelo Anthony shouted “Tell ’em how you really feel!”

Westbrook smiled and laughed before sharing some thoughts.

“But I see I was the last pick on the list — I was just trying to figure out how ..,” Westbrook said before he was told the list was actually in alphabetical order.

“See, I told you, man! Alphabetical order, man! Of course I was first!” Westbrook said.

LeBron and Stephen Curry were tasked with selecting the players they wanted on their team for the All-Star Game. It’s still unclear what the draft order was since it wasn’t televised.

Westbrook was already in a light mood Thursday coming off the Thunder’s 121-112 win over the Wizards. The 29-year-old may have been a little more motivated for the game after at first believing he was slighted by LeBron

The guard led the way for Oklahoma City Thursday by taking over the game and scoring 46 points with six assists and six rebounds in the victory.
