What a Rebel.
Actress Rebel Wilson slammed reality stars Kendall and Kylie Jenner on Wednesday, saying what the popular millennials stand for is “totally against what I stand for.”
“They seem a bit superficial, and their careers aren;t really based on talent,” she said in an interview on Australia’s KIIS radio station. “And I know they’re super popular, but I’m all about personality and working hard to get to where I am.”
The “Pitch Perfect” actress revealed she was asked to present an award with the well-known millennials at August’s MTV Video Music Awards – but she said she’d rather just do it herself.
Had she obliged, she likely would’ve dressed up as the Jenner girls’ half-sister Kim Kardashian, who gained tremendous notoriety in 2007 when her sex tape with her ex-boyfriend, Ray J, was leaked.
Apparently Wilson isn’t the biggest fan of Kardashian’s career path, either.
“Kim Kardashian got famous from the sex tape, and I just went to acting school and worked really hard,” Wilson said in the interview.
Wilson, who ended up presenting the award for best hip hop video by herself at the show, wrapped things up by saying she probably wouldn’t ever appear with Kardashian and the Jenner’s on their long-running E! Network series, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“I’d have to say no,” she said.
