York Region police are investigating a fatal, single-vehicle collision in Georgina early Saturday morning.

York Region police are investigating a fatal, single-vehicle collision in Georgina early Saturday morning.

A 28-year-old Georgina man was ejected from the vehicle and found dead at the site when emergency officials arrived, police said Monday.

Police were called to the scene on Baldwin Rd., west of Horse Shoe Ln., just before 6 a.m.

Investigators believe the vehicle was travelling on Baldwin at about 4:30 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the road.

Police were called at approximately 5:30 a.m., it is believed by a passerby who came upon the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police.
