Barack and Michelle Obama marked Valentine’s Day by adding to their ever-growing — and sweetly inspiring — roster of public displays of affection.
The former FLOTUS made the first move.
“Happy #ValentinesDay to my one and only, @BarackObama. To celebrate the occasion, I’m dedicating a little Valentine’s Day playlist to you!” She punctuated the love note with a heart emoji.
That 44-song roster included “At Last,” which the couple danced to at the 2009 Inaugural Ball, “Stand By Me” and “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe.”
Six minutes later, the ex-POTUS poured out his heart.
Barack and Michelle Obama’s relationship through the years
“Happy Valentine’s Day, @MichelleObama. You make every day and every place better,” the former President posted over a picture of the two hugging amid a romantic Italian landscape.
It’s been a heart-fluttering week for the couple. The 44th commander-in-chief didn’t wait for Cupid’s big day to gush about the woman he wed in 1992.
At the unveiling of the Obamas’ official portraits on Monday, he expressed gratitude to the artist who painted his wife’s portrait, saying, “I want to thank you for so spectacularly capturing the grace and beauty and intelligence and charm and hotness of the woman that I love.”
That’s how it’s done, folks.
Meanwhile, President Trump and Melania Trump have publicly left their Valentine’s Day sentiments unsaid as 45’s scandal involving porn star Stormy Daniels continues to unfold.
That’s a two-song playlist in the making: “Stormy” and “The Sound of Silence.”
Melania Trump didn’t let Valentine’s Day go by totally unnoticed. The White House noted that she marked the day by spending time at Children’s Inn at NIH, a nonprofit Bethesda residence for seriously ill kids.
The First Lady, dressed in a bright red coat, was there to decorate cookies and Valentines with kids and family members.
