Jim Carrey exposed his late ex to drugs, STDs and mental abuse without any regard for how it all affected her, according to an iPad note allegedly penned by his former girlfriend in 2013.
Michael Avenatti — the attorney representing the estranged husband and mother of Carrey’s ex, Cathriona White — released the explosive message on Friday, claiming it was written in White’s words and was recently discovered on her iPad during a forensic exam.
In the message, which is dated April 8, 2013, White — who took her own life in September 2015 — allegedly accused the actor of a pattern destructive behavior that greatly impacted her.
“Before you I might not have had very much but I had respect, I was a happy person, I loved life, I was confident and I felt good in my own skin and was proud of most decisions I made,” the lengthy letter reads. “I met you, you introduced me to cocaine, prostitutes, mental abuse and disease.”
“You did good things for me but being with you broke me down as a person Jim,” the note continued.
Another segment of the note claims Carrey gave her “hsv and hpv.”

“I want you to apologize for it because you care enough to,” the letter reads.
It’s unclear if this letter was ever sent to Carrey, or if there’s any clear evidence that White was actually the one who wrote it, or when it was actually written.
White’s estranged husband, Mark Burton, and mother, Brigid Sweetman, are suing Carrey on accusations of wrongful death, claiming the 55-year-old star gave her three sexually transmitted diseases without warning, and that he used a fake name to get prescription drugs for her, which she used to commit suicide.
Carrey submitted a new lawsuit Friday that claims White’s estranged husband “pressured” her into accusing the actor of giving her herpes in 2013 after a bad wax job resulted in “bumps.”

The lawsuit, which serves as a countersuit to the one filed against Carrey by Burton and Sweetman, also alleges that White already had Herpes I and Herpes II before she met the actor.
Carrey has referred to Burton as a “green card husband” to White in the past.
