Newborn baby found in Queens church’s nativity scene

It was a living nativity scene.

A newborn baby boy — his umbilical cord still attached — was found in a Queens church nestled in the house of worship’s nativity scene, officials said.

The newborn was found inside Holy Child Jesus Church on 86th Ave. in Richmond Hill around noon on Monday, according to ABC News.

Father Christopher Heanue said the baby was placed near the altar, in the nativity scene.

A custodian found the baby after hearing crying and noises at the nativity scene, which had already been set up for the holiday season.

The baby was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where officials say he is going to be fine.

Cops are trying to find the newborn’s mother, officials said.
