Lord of the Rings fans may see some similarities between a newly discovered daddy longlegs and the trilogy’s infamous cave dwelling villain.

The new species is called, “Smeagol” or Iandumoema smeagol, after the Lord of the Rings character. The species was found in a cave in Brazil, according to research published in the journal ZooKeys on Wednesday.

See any similarities?

While the pale yellow creature may look like a spider, it’s actually a spiderlike arachnid called a harvestman or daddy longlegs.

While Smeagol, who is also known as Gollum, may have been able to live outside of a cave, the eyeless Iandumoema smeagol  carries out its entire life in the depths of the cave.

The newly discovered species is the first blind harvestman that researchers have found, according to the report.

This isn’t the first species to be named after a character from a movie. In March, researchers named a suckermouth armored catfish, Peckoltia greedoi, after Greedo, a bounty hunter in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
