A knife-wielding man in Munich rampaged through a busy section of the German city on Saturday, wounding at least five people before fleeing on a bicycle and touching off an hour-long manhunt.
Authorities combed the Bavarian capital’s Rosenheimer Platz and its surrounding areas in search of the suspect, whom they described as around 40 years old , wearing a green jacket and carrying a backpack with a camping mat. He was later described as blonde, overweight and unshaven.
None of the crazed cyclist’s victims suffered life-threatening injuries, cops said in a tweet.
The suspect was nabbed just before noon local time, German outlet Bild reported.
The attacker’s motives remain unclear.
