More than a dozen people were injured after an SUV plowed into unsuspecting pedestrians in Australia.
At least 13 people were taken to the hospital after the vehicle ran into a crowd in Melbourne Thursday afternoon, according to the ambulance service in Victoria.
The extent of the injuries was unknown, and two more people were being assessed by medics at the scene.
Sydney’s 9 News reported that one of the victims was a small child.
Police officers secure the area after the arrest of the driver.
Police said that they had arrested the driver of the car and another man.
No motive was given for the crash, though authorities said that they believe it was a “deliberate act.”
