Mel B and Stephen Belafonte are finally divorced after 10 years of marriage and 10 months of drama.
The former Spice Girl filed for divorce from Belafonte in March 2017, claiming he was physically and emotionally abusive toward her over the years. The filing led to months of battle over property and custody of their daughter, Madison.
A judge ordered a dissolution of their marriage on Dec. 15 and Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, will pay her ex-husband $ 15,000 per month for the next three years, and they will have joint custody of their daughter, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The division of property has yet to be determined.
In her divorce filing, “The X Factor” host alleged he was physically abusive and she obtained a restraining order on April 7.
She also claimed he had an affair with their nanny, ultimately getting her pregnant and using the singer’s money to get her an abortion.

Mel B also alleged in documents that Belafonte demanded she have sex with him and “random women” and then threatened to release the sex tapes if she ever did anything wrong to him.
Belafonte was convicted of domestic violence in 2003 against the mother of his first child Nicole Contreras — due to this, he was not allowed to have a gun, which Mel B said he disobeyed.
“He threatened me with violence and threatened to destroy my life in every possible way … destroy my career and take my kids from me,” Brown said when explaining why she hadn’t filed for divorce sooner.
During an episode of UK.’s “X Factor” Mel B showed up with multiple bruises and had to cancel the previous night’s appearance due to hospitalization.
On Twitter, she claimed she fell in her heels, but later admitted that Belafonte made her write that so people would not be suspicious.
