“Sex and the City” star Kim Cattrall has swapped her cosmopolitan for some tea.
The 61-year-old actress had some harsh words for former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker Tuesday, just one week after rumors swirled that Cattrall’s diva behavior was to blame for the axing of a potential third movie sequel.
“At this very moment, it’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no’ that I’m demanding or a diva,” Cattrall told Piers Morgan on his British show “Life Stories,” according to DailyMailTV. “And this is really where I take to task the people from ‘Sex and the City’ and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker, in that I think she could have been nicer.”
“I really think she could have been nicer. I don’t know what her issue is. I never have,” Cattrall said.
There has been no love lost over the years between the actresses, who portrayed Samantha Jones and Carrie Bradshaw on the hit HBO show, respectively.

Rumors of a rift between the two have swirled for years, and though the show has been off the air for more than a decade, the drama resurfaced this week when Parker confirmed once and for all that a third movie sequel was a no-go.
“It’s over … we’re not doing it,” she told Extra. “I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so that for the audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”
Parker appeared to take the high road and avoided any mention of her former co-star, but her official confirmation came after DailyMailTV claimed that Cattrall was behind the stalling of the film, which was reportedly set for production in New York City this fall.
The outlet claimed the actress wanted the film’s producers to back her other film projects, and after they refused, she put a halt to production.

But Cattrall denied this to Morgan, and instead said she had simply wrapped up that chapter of her life and had no interest in revisiting it.
“This isn’t about more money, this is not about more scenes,” she said. “It’s not about any of those things. This is about a clear decision, an empowered decision in my life to end one chapter and start another. I’m 61. It’s now.”
Parker’s reps declined comment on Cattrall’s latest dig, but for what it’s worth, Parker dismissed any claims of resentment last year to Howard Stern.
“Was every day perfect? Were people always desperately, hopefully in love with each other? No,” she said. “But this is a family of people who needed each other, relied upon each other and loved each other.”
