Kendall Jenner’s frequent concerns over her wellbeing date back to when she was a child.
The reality star opened up about her long-standing struggles with anxiety on Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” which documented an instance where she called her mom, Kris Jenner, panicking about her health.
“Since I was a kid, I’ve always been a hypochondriac,” Jenner said in the episode, according to People. “I’ve always been the worst hypochondriac. But now I have to try and be a big girl.”
Hypochondria is a condition where someone becomes obsessed with the belief that an undiagnosed ailment is affecting them.
Jenner, 22, visited a doctor on the show, and the health scare proved to be nothing.
Her mother acknowledged that Jenner’s busy modeling schedule can sometimes have a negative effect on her.
“Kendall struggles from anxiety, and I think she has so much going on that she gets herself really worked up,” Kris said during the episode. “Kendall gets the most anxious during fashion week, or when she’s traveling a lot. … Trying to juggle it all is overwhelming.”
It’s not the first time Jenner has chronicled her worries about her health on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” A November 2016 episode covered Jenner’s concerns over a non-dangerous sleep disorder called sleep paralysis, in which a person wakes up temporarily unable to move.
“Everyone says I’m fine, but I don’t feel fine,” Jenner said on the show at the time.

The newest episode of “KUWTK,” meanwhile, also included a flashback showing Jenner tearfully telling her mom over the phone that she wanted to get off a plane. She later explained that she gets “super lightheaded” on planes.
Jenner explained on Sunday’s episode that traumatic experiences her family has gone through, including her half-sister Kim Kardashian getting robbed at gunpoint in Paris in 2016, contribute to her anxiety.
“Then I got robbed, and I had my stalkers,” Jenner said. “That’s why I don’t really like going out anymore. That’s why I don’t tweet, that’s why I don’t Instagram. That gives me anxiety, too. I swear, it’s the craziest thing.”
