Justin Theroux is staying out of the spotlight in the aftermath of his breakup with Jennifer Aniston.
The actor will not be making a previously scheduled appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday night, Entertainment Tonight reported.
Theroux, 46, had been slated to appear on the episode, but is not listed on the late-night program’s schedule anymore.
The “Leftovers” actor has not publicly provided a reason for his cancelation.
He’ll be replaced on Tuesday’s episode by comedian Chris Gethard, the host of the truTV variety program “The Chris Gethard Show,” which returns with new episodes on March 20.
The cancelation comes less than a week after Theroux and Aniston announced their decision to split following two and a half years of marriage.
“This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year,” Aniston and Theroux said in a joint statement. “We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”
Aniston and Theroux met for the final time on Valentine’s Day and concluded it was time for them to go public with their split, People reported earlier this week. They had already been separated for several months at that point, according to E! News.
The duo had been together for seven years overall. They wed in 2015 in a secret ceremony.
Theroux had been expected to discuss a new movie, “Mute,” as well as the TV series, “Maniac,” with Colbert on Tuesday.
