Troubled NFL QB Johnny Manziel is in a fight for his life, according to his father.

Johnny Manziel reportedly declined his family’s request to check into two rehab facilities in recent days, and his family is growing increasingly concerned that the trouble quarterback won’t live to celebrate his 24th birthday.

That’s what Manziel’s father, Paul Manziel, told the Dallas Morning News on Friday.

“I truly believe if they can’t get him help, he won’t live to see his 24th birthday,” Paul Manziel told the newspaper.

JOHNNY MANZIEL REPORTEDLY THREATENED TO KILL GIRLFRIEND, HIMSELF

Paul Manziel is just the latest to step forward and speak out about the future of the troubled Cleveland Browns QB. Earlier Friday morning, Manziel’s agent of two years, Erik Burkhardt, severed their relationship, a rare move by an agent. The Cleveland Browns have also already said they plan to release Manziel next month.

Manziel’s latest misstep occurred last week, when he reportedly threatened to kill both his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, and himself. A police report confirmed that he struck her “several” times.

Since then the family has attempted to swoop into action twice, with no success. Paul Manziel told the Dallas Morning News the family tried to check him into Enterhealth Ranch, an addiction facility in Van Alstyne, on Saturday, one day after the police report on the incident was filed.

MYERS: JOHNNY MANZIEL IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP

On Tuesday, Paul Manziel said he checked Johnny Manziel into Carrollton Springs Hospital, a psychiatric and chemical dependency facility. Paul Manziel also told a Denton County Sheriff’s officer that Johnny Manziel may be suicidal. For some reason, Manziel was allowed to leave the facility.

Manziel, who has reportedly spent the last few weeks in Dallas, was spotted at the Dallas Mavericks game on Wednesday, just one day later.

Manziel continues to insist that he is fine and does not need intervention. In an interview on TMZ, Manziel claimed the incident with ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley “didn’t happen.”

“I’m completely stable. I’m safe and secure,” he added to TMZ.
