Jamie Lynn Spears can’t stop singing the praises of the first responders who saved her daughter nearly a year ago.
The “Sleepover” musician, who announced plans to spend the 12 days leading up to Christmas reflecting on major milestones in her life, shared an Instagram photo of Maddie Aldridge celebrating her birthday in June with the two “angels” she credits with saving the 9-year-old’s life.
Jamie Lynn Spears shared a heartfelt Instagram post thanking the first responders who saved daughter Maddie Aldridge after a February ATV crash.
In her caption, Spears, 26, called the February ATV crash that briefly left Aldridge in a coma “the hardest milestone” she and her family had endured to date.
She thanked the paramedics, whom People identified as John Fortner and Victoria Ragoonath, for all that they did for her little girl, calling the recovery “a true miracle.”

According to People, Spears’ daughter crashed an ATV she was driving into a pond on the singer’s husband Jamie Watson’s Kentwood, La., property.
Aldridge reportedly swerved to avoid a drainage ditch, which prompted the crash.
She was submerged for several minutes after the ATV flipped. Watson and Spears unsuccessfully attempted to free Maddie, who was caught and secured by safety netting and a seatbelt.
“Within seconds, the child’s mother, stepfather and other family members reached the pond, dove in and attempted to rescue the child to no avail,” a police report read.
Paramedics called to the scene were able to get Aldridge out of the water, where she’d been for several minutes.
She was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. Maddie regained consciousness after two days and was cleared to return home on Feb. 10.
