Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin consciously uncoupled — and now they are like siblings.
Paltrow said in an interview on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Thursday night that they are still a great big family, despite divorcing in April 2015.
“He’s really like my brother, we’re very familial. It’s nice, it’s great,” Paltrow said.
The two share children 13-year-old daughter Apple and 11-year-old son Moses.
“Divorce is terrible, it was very painful, it was really hard. We really genuinely wanted our kids to be as unscathed as possible,” she continued.
“We thought if we could really maintain the family even though we weren’t a couple that was kind of the goal so that’s what we’ve tried to do.”

Paltrow, 45, has since moved on from the painful divorce from the 40-year-old Coldplay front man and is now engaged to Brad Falchuk.
She debuted her sapphire sparkler alongside Colbert on Thursday.
“I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy.”
Paltrow shared on her Instagram account a photo of Martin and Falchuk with the caption “Modern Brunch #modernfamily.”
