Giants Grades & Extra Points: Another failing effort from offense

GRADES

OFFENSE: F

Two Eli Manning INTs, three second-half dropped passes, 10 points.

DEFENSE: D

Three Dallas fourth-quarter TDs, 454 yards of Cowboys offense (third-worst of season). Not an F because the ‘D’ stiffened midway but snapped under pressure of lifeless offense.

SPECIAL TEAMS: D

The Giants’ return game is non-existent. Coverage teams OK. Brad Wing (eight punts) was busy but OK, not great. Aldrick Rosas made his one FG attempt from 39 yards.

EXTRA POINTS

COACHES CALL

Steve Spagnuolo inexplicably leaves rookie QB Davis Webb inactive for a 13th straight game to start the season, even with Giants positioned to pick a top QB in April’s draft.

TURNING POINT

Dez Bryant’s 50-yard TD just before half answers a Giant touchdown drive in 59 seconds, ties game at 10 apiece, and turns momentum Dallas’ way for good.

QUOTE

“The last two weeks have been difficult with losing (my) starting job and losing a head coach. Those things are hard. And they are personal and (they) hurt, and I don’t like losing a head coach. I take that personal. That’s on me for not doing my job.” – Eli Manning
