Giancarlo Stanton is bringing the party to New York.
When the Yankees announced over the weekend that Stanton would be teaming up with hard-hitting outfielder Aaron Judge, the power duo was immediately compared to Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. The Yankees can only hope Stanton isn’t the next Mantle on the nightlife scene too.
The 6-feet-6 home run king was the toast of a pop-up party in Miami over the weekend, hosted by New York City club king Richie Akiva and rapper 2Chains.
We’re told that Akiva excitedly introduced the newest Yankee to a cheering crowd in Miami over the weekend at a pop-up version of his Chelsea-based 1Oak nightclub.
“I want to welcome Giancarlo Stanton of the Yankees,” Akiva announced over the club’s booming audio system. “He was just traded today from Miami to N.Y.C!”
Stanton proudly posed for photos as he was handed a bottle of Ace of Spades champagne at 2 a.m., with the party still in full swing.
Also in the house for Stanton’s celebration was rapper Trinidad James and former Los Angeles Lakers player Rick Fox, who did a nightlife three-peat by visiting 1Oak Miami on three consecutive nights.
Akiva’s nightlife credits in New York include, 1Oak on W. 17th St., Up & Down on W. 14th St. and Butter in Midtown.
