A former teen actor who says he was in a ‘sexual relationship’ with Kevin Spacey during the mid-1980s told Vulture that Spacey attempted to rape him — the latest in a series of people to accuse the “House of Cards” actor of impropriety.
Meanwhile, actors and former staff at the Old Vic theater in London — for which Spacey was the artistic director for 11 years — accused the theater of turning a blind eye to Spacey’s alleged misconduct.
The now 48-year-old man, who opted to remain anonymous, detailed the pair’s relationship to the outlet, starting with their first meeting in 1981, and culminating in a disturbing encounter at the star’s Upper West Side apartment.
“I always have said, ‘He tried to rape me.’ I told him I didn’t want that, he went again to do it, I told him no, he went again and pushed harder and grabbed me and pushed harder,” the man recalled. “I don’t know how I would see that as anything besides an attempted rape, which I was able to thwart.”
Spacey’s lawyer told Vulture that the actor “absolutely denies” the allegations put forth by the anonymous accuser. He did not immediately respond to a Daily News request for comment.
Spacey’s accuser told the outlet they first met when Spacey was a guest teacher at an acting class in Westchester County. The man was 12, while Spacey was 22. He does not claim any improper conduct occurred at that time.
The man claimed the incident happened when he was just 15.
Two years later, they met again. The man claims Spacey, in “high seduction mode,” offered up his phone number and invited the teen to his apartment.
At first, the now-artist says he was excited by the prospect of a budding relationship with Spacey.
“I felt like I’d won the lottery. A little drunk with it and very delighted with the attention,” he said.
The then-teen says he soon began a sexual relationship with Spacey, and that the pair met up three or four more times after their initial physical encounter.
The man says that when he turned 15, he accepted an invitation to the actor’s apartment, expecting a night of kissing and “tell(ing) each other we loved each other.”
Instead, Spacey allegedly told him he wanted to have sex with him. When the teen arrived at the apartment, he said, Spacey immediately pounced.
Hollywood stars accused of sexual harassment and assault
“I guess he must have come up behind me and yanked down by baggy jeans, and he goes to f–k me and I’m like, ‘No, I don’t want to,’ and he pushes hard, and grabs me, and starts shoving up against my a–hole, and it hurts like a mother—ker,” he said.
“I again tell him no, and he tries again… I throw him off me and I run crying down the stairs and out into the street.”
While the man says that he believes Spacey never actually penetrated him, he says he remembers that the experience was physically painful.
Allegations against the Oscar-winner have been bubbling up since Sunday, when actor Anthony Rapp — in an article by Buzzfeed — accused Spacey of making an unwanted advance toward him in 1986, when he was 14.
A Mexican actor named Roberto Cavazos claimed to have had several “unpleasant encounters” with Spacey at the theater, while an anonymous ex-employee said Spacey groped a friend of his at an after party in 2011.
Multiple staff members at the Old Vic — where Spacey was creative director from 2004 to 2015 — told the Guardian that Spacey’s behavior was an open secret, and that employees worked together to keep it quiet.

“The thing that really upsets me is the hypocrisy of places like the Old Vic that pretend now that they didn’t know,” one former employee said.
In the wake of the allegations, the Old Vic has established a tip line for anyone who wishes to come forward with “concerns” about Spacey’s behavior.
The theater told the Guardian that since setting up the email account — email@example.com — it has seen “great benefits of the new policy of openness and the safe sharing of information.”
Spacey announced Wednesday night in a statement via his rep that he is currently “taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment,” though the type of treatment remains unclear.
