Thanksgiving this year will be hot, hot, hot.
For those looking to get spicy at Thanksgiving this year, look no further than Reynolds Kitchens.
The kitchen products company, known for Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil and Hefty trash bags, has a page of recipes for Thanksgiving turkey that will have your mouth ablaze.
First on their list is Flamin’ Hot Cheetos turkey. Yes, Reynolds Kitchens wants Instagram chefs — who cook things just for their photo value — to crush Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, or rather their generic equivalent “hot puffed cheese sticks,” spread it all over their holiday bird using butter or oil, wrap it in Reynolds oven bags, and pop that hot gobbler in the oven.
Sounds like that could go very, very wrong for your stomach and your guests.
Reynolds also suggests Cool Ranch Doritos or Funyuns flavored turkey recipes on their “Flavor Blasted Turkeys” page.
The aluminum foil company doesn’t recommend what these fired-up birds pair well with, but the photos featuring the cooked turkeys imply the turkey can be stuffed.
If you’re looking to get experimental this Thanksgiving, why stop at Cheetos and Doritos? Why not salty pretzels? What about Barbecue Lays or Bugles or SunChips? The possibilities — and the ways in which your stomach might roil — are endless.
If you’re looking for a different way to have a chippy Thanksgiving, Pringles is testing a whole meal made solely of chips, with flavors like turkey, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.
