SAN FRANCISCO — Borrowing a popular feature from Messenger, Facebook now lets you draw on your photos.

To use Doodle, upload a photograph, hit edit and start drawing. Pick colors in the color slide on the right side of the screen.

The Doodle function is the latest tool Facebook has introduced to let people more fully express themselves by editing photos. Other tools include filters and stickers.

With nearly 2 billion photos uploaded to Facebook each day, it’s important for Facebook to bring the kind of functionality that people find elsewhere. Doodling has been a common feature on messaging services such as Snapchat for some time.

Doodle is rolling out on iOS and Android on Tuesday.
