Cousin, pal of man killed in Bronx shooting surrender to cops

A 45-year-old man found shot to death inside an SUV in the Bronx earlier this month was killed by two men, a friend and a cousin of the victim, authorities said Saturday.

Suspects Nelson Lopez, 41, and Joselin Espada, 38, are now facing murder charges for allegedly killing George Carrasquillo on Hone Ave. near Neill Ave. in Morris Park about 5:30 a.m. Feb. 5.

Espada, Carrasquillo’s cousin, and Lopez were arguing with their victim when they shot him repeatedly and ran off, according to authorities.

Cops found Carrasquillo’s bullet-riddled body behind the steering wheel of a 2017 Ford Explorer.

Detectives eventually learned Lopez and Espada had argued with Carrasquillo in the hours leading up to his death, police sources said.
