With the selfie sensation seeming to stick, some makeup companies are now considering the smartphone in their test process, according to a report.
In addition to old-fashioned scientific testing of shine and durability, CoverGirl uses an unorthodox approach of taking iPhone photographs of the employees wearing the makeup to see how it appears on the screen, NBC’s “Today” reported.
If the photo doesn’t appear tip top, the formula might be altered to better accommodate the iPhone flash.
Some companies are making specific cosmetics just for selfies.
The company Too Faced released #TFnofilter Selfie Powders designed to mimic the look of photo filters, according to its website.
Smashbox released the Seflie Kit to help “snap the perfect selfie,” according to Smashbox website.
Paired with the items are three pro tips on how to light, angel and shoot the ideal selfie.
