Chelsea Handler turned serious to fight back at a fellow comedienne, accusing her former bestie of leaking stories to the press.
The talk show host appeared on Jenny McCarthy’s Sirius Radio Show on Tuesday and revealed that she stopped talking to Heather McDonald – a one-time roundtable regular on Chelsea Handler’s E! show — after the woman leaked stories to Us Weekly in exchange for a photo op.
“Why the f–k would I tell somebody who’s talking to a magazine about my career?,” Handler asked McCarthy.
Handler, also addressed the topic on Howard Stern’s radio show Tuesday stating that McDonald did “80 things” that she could have been fired for during the eight years she worked on the E! show.
The bitter feud was rekindled after McDonald was a guest on Matt Weiss and Theo Von’s “Allegedly” podcast last week and told the hosts she “lived in fear” of Handler.
“I enjoyed my time there, I was happy, but something could happen and my heart would be beating and I’d be like ‘is this it?,'” McDonald said at the time.
In July, Handler ended her contract with E! to work on a docuseries for Netflix.
At the time, McDonald claimed she felt misled by the “Uganda Be Kidding Me?” author, only learning that her gig was up while en route to a Lakers game.
But Handler said she didn’t “dump” her friend, as McDonald claimed – she simply couldn’t trust her.
“She would never say anything to my face, she would only say it on the radio,” Handler said Tuesday of her former pal. “She would never, cause she’s f–king scared, and she should be..she’s a loser.”
Handler inked a seven-year deal with Netflix. Her new four-part docuseries premieres Saturday.
The 40-year-old comic will also launch a new talk show on Netflix after the documentaries air.
