Simon Cowell addresses the Friday morning break-in outside his west London home that took place as he and his family slept.

A burglar quietly looted Simon Cowell’s London multi-million pad early Friday of his gems and cash as the “X-Factor” creator and his family slept.

The burglar reportedly found the key to Cowell’s safe and was out of the Holland Park home within a half hour. The break-in took place unbeknownst to the 56-year-old producer, his partner, Lauren Silverman, their 1-year-old son, Eric, and a bodyguard that was supposed to be watching over them, according to the Telegraph.

The thief managed to slip past the sleeping family, their two dogs and a bodyguard, who spent the length of the 2:20 a.m. burglary in the bathroom.

“As upsetting as it is, Simon can cope with losing possessions,” a family friend told The Sun. “As long as his family are safe — that is his one and only concern.”

A private security officer patrolling the west London neighborhood is to thank for wrangling at least $ 755,000 in stolen goods away from the fleeing thief.

M’Bathonha Mendes stumbled upon Cowell’s passport strewn on a street, caught sight of the masked suspect and drove after him.

“I was completely shocked,” Mendes told the Mirror. “I jumped in my car and drove after him. I knew whatever was in that bag was valuable.”

The burglar reportedly struck Simon Cowell’s home, pictured here, and several others in the Holland Park neighborhood.

Police were notified of the burglary as Mendes gave chase.

It’s unclear if the suspect made off with additional possessions.

It’s believed Cowell’s home was one of nearly a dozen burgled within several blocks of each other in the past month.

This is Cowell’s second brush with a break-in while at home. A woman broke into Cowell’s house with a brick in 2012 as the music mogul watched television and hid in his wardrobe until police officers arrived.
