Skiers and snowboarders will take over Boston’s famed Fenway Park Thursday and Friday for the “Big Air at Fenway” event.

Expect to see sliders thrown at Fenway later this week.

Boston’s historic ballpark will see Olympic skiers and snowboarders launching themselves down a 140-foot-high ramp and executing acrobatic maneuvers off a jump in the middle of center field.

The “Big Air at Fenway” event, on Thursday and Friday, is part of the U.S. Grand Prix tour and is sanctioned by the International Ski Federation. A grand prize purse of $ 150,000 is at stake.

Sochi Olympic champions Joss Christensen and Sage Kostenburg (who won gold medals in slopestyle skiing and slopestyle snowboarding, respectively) are among the athletes expected to participate in the events.
