The Season of Giving continues in the NFL.
More than 100 Bengals fans have donated to the Blake Bortles Foundation after the Jaguars quarterback helped lead Jacksonville to a divisional round win over the Steelers Sunday with 214 passing yards and a touchdown. Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, of course, are fierce rivals in the AFC North.
The donations are already approaching $ 5,000, according to First Coast News, which reached Bortles for comment.
“Fans are at the core of the football experience and it’s truly exciting and rewarding when they band together, regardless of the team they cheer for, to make a positive impact in the lives of others,” he said. “I greatly appreciate the support displayed by Bengals fans and they should know their support will make a difference.”

Bengals supporters are paying forward another act of generosity from a different NFL fan base.
In Week 17, Andy Dalton and Cincinnati earned an improbable win over the Ravens that propelled the Bills to their first postseason berth in 17 years. Buffalo fans then bombarded Dalton’s foundation with generous donations that eventually totaled around $ 300,000.
The Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation helps benefit severely ill and physically challenged children. Bortles’ foundation gives back to local Jacksonville communities.
