Pop icon Barry Manilow was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday after performing a sold-out concert during what is his final tour.
The legendary rock star is recovering after suffering complications from emergency oral surgery following a show in Memphis, Tenn. on Wednesday night, according to a post on the crooner’s Facebook page.
The 72-year-old had surgery on Monday and had to halt his “One Last Time” tour three days later when he was taken to the hospital, but his publicist says he is “perfectly healthy.”
“He is not in the hospital. Other than the dental issue, he is doing great,” Victoria Varela told CNN.
However, it’s still unknown if Manilow will be able to attend Monday’s Grammy show, where he is nominated for his latest album, “My Dream Duets.”
The Grammy winner cancelled shows for Thursday and Friday night, with new dates expected to be announced soon.
The “Copacabana” singer has suffered various health scares in the past years, including hip surgery in 2011 and revealing he suffered from chronic heart disease.
