A Los Tules hotel staff member shows a photo of a gun found in a room where Ethan Couch and his mother Tonya stayed.
The brat was packing heat.
“Affluenza” teen Ethan Couch and his mother had a gun with them when they checked into a Mexican resort, hotel employees said.
The 18-year-old and his mother Tonya Couch were taken into custody Monday, two weeks after they vanished.
The two left a gun in a drawer at the swanky Los Tules resort after changing rooms during their stay, hotel employees said. One of the staffers showed off an image of the weapon.
The mother and son were busted days later, after downgrading to a different building nearby.
The spoiled teen was notorious for mounting a successful “affluenza” defense for his deadly drunken driving crash in 2013 that killed four people. His attorneys argued he was too spoiled to understand the severity of his crime.
The mother and son were hiding in plain sight following the two-week manhunt, which began in Tarrant, County, Texas, after Couch apparently violated the terms of his parole and fled with his mom.
Couch had dyed his hair black, an apparent effort to hide his identity while on the run in Mexico.
Tonya Couch was returned to the United States and arrested Thursday on a felony charge in Los Angeles.
Ethan Couch remains in Mexico after he won a delay of his deportation to the United States.
