Yankees general manager Brian Cashman was walking off the Garden court at halftime of Kentucky’s game against Monmouth Saturday afternoon when a fan shouted, “Great trade today, boss!”
Cashman waved his right hand to acknowledge the fan, but he declined to confirm that the Yankees had completed a deal to reel in Marlins star Giancarlo Stanton from Miami.
“No comment,” Cashman said when asked about the deal by the News.

Cashman, a Kentucky fan who grew up near Rupp Arena in Lexington, was joined by new Yankees manager Aaron Boone. They sat courtside alongside former Manhattan coach Barry Rohrssen and Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter.
Boone said he could not comment on Stanton when interviewed by ESPN during the first half.
