This Nobu location's offering the chain's first prix-fixe lunch

New to the scene…

* Nobu Downtown’s Bar & Lounge is now offering a $ 35 prix-fixe lunch — the first time any Nobu location in the U.S has ever done an ongoing prix-fixe lunch other than during Restaurant Week and other special events. The deal is only available in the lobby-level space, which also has a new menu of cocktails and lounge bites. New bar bites on the lounge menu ($ 12-$ 24), which is available starting 3 p.m., include the Taco Trio (Umami Chicken, Spicy Shortrib, Grilled Vegetable Chimichurri) and Rock Shrimp Nori Buns. The prix-fixe lunch, offered weekdays from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m., includes first course choices like Seasonal Mushroom Soup or Seafood Ceviche on Butter Lettuce; second course choices including Black Cod Miso and Grilled Chicken Teriyaki Donburi; and desserts ranging from Whisky Cappuccino to House Made Gelato or Sorbet.

Get it while you can…

* Pie is much better when it’s spiked with bourbon — and when someone else makes it for you. Anyone stressing about finding time to bake dessert this Thanksgiving can head to one of Breads Bakery’s three Manhattan locations, or place an order at breadsbakery.com. New this year on the Thanksgiving menu, available starting Sunday, are the Bourbon Pecan Pie ($ 37), made with spiked vanilla bourbon filling; and the Pear Crumble Tart ($ 37), made with roasted pears with citrus and cranberry and topped with an oatmeal crumble. Delicious Cranberry Gouda Rolls ($ 10.50) have gotten a new presentation this year; and old favorites include a chocolate Babka Pie ($ 39). The pies will be available for nationwide shipping and in-store. But the tart and dinner rolls are only be available in the bakery.

* Grapefruits may taste tart, but the purpose of this fruit-infused product sure is sweet. Special Edition Creme de Corps Grapefruit Whipped Body Butter is one of four items in a collaboration between Disney and the cosmetic company, Kiehl’s, that will benefit families in need this holiday season. Kiehl’s is pledging 100% of net profits from the collection, up to $ 100,000, to Feeding America to help provide 1,100,000 meals for Americans through the nonprofit’s network of food banks. The air-whipped scented cream, $ 38 for an 8-ounce tub, promises 24-hours of hydration. Plus, the lid boasts an adorbs illustration of Mickey Mouse with his arms packed with presents.

* KFC-lovers from the New York-area are in luck. For a limited time, select locations of the fried chicken chain in the boroughs — every one but Queens — have been chosen as test markets and are selling a new southern-inspired flavor, Hot Honey Chicken – Extra Crispy Chicken. The sweet and hot sauce blends honey with mild peppers and is used to coat the fast food brand’s Extra Crispy Chicken offerings, including Extra Crispy Tenders, Chicken Littles® and Extra Crispy Chicken. This is the fourth southern-inspired flavor by KFC, and spots where you can try it include: 707 Lenox Ave. in Manhattan; 942 Flatbush Ave. in Brooklyn; 1125 E. Gun Hill Road in the Bronx; and 2471 Hylan Blvd. in Staten Island.
