SEE IT: Whoopi Goldberg reunites with ‘Sister Act’ costars

Whoopi Goldberg is back in the habit.

The actress and talk show host reunited with her “Sister Act” co-stars Thursday on “The View” to celebrate the movie’s 25th anniversary.

Kathy Najimy (Sister Mary Patrick) and Wendy Makkena (Sister Mary Robert) joined Goldberg for a special reunion show, along with cast members Sherri Izzard, Darlene Koldenhoven, Beth Fowler, Andrea Robinson and Prudence Holmes and music supervisor Marc Shaiman.

Goldberg, who played Deloris Van Cartier, the lounge singer who had to go into hiding in a convent after witnessing a murder, said the role was originally supposed to go to Bette Midler.

“Bette couldn’t do it, so she turned it down, and then I guess they went to 100 million people, and got to me,” Goldberg said.

She also said she didn’t plan on singing in the movie before Shaiman hired Jennifer Lewis and Charlotte Crossley to perform with her.

“I knew that these two ladies had the perfect sense of humor, besides musicality, to make Whoopi just feel comfortable,” he said.

Najimy revealed that she found Mary Patrick’s “funny opera voice” during her sixth and final audition for the role, while Makkena said she hired a girl group to back her up during her own audition.

“I can’t believe this is happening and that it was 25 years ago,” she said.

“Hello to all the nuns, I must be the oldest one left. Every single nun was wonderful. I have such fond memories of when we did those crazy, crazy, crazy films. And we laughed and laughed and laughed. I can’t believe it’s been 25 years. I send you lots of love.”

Harvey Keitel, making a surprise appearance, gifted Goldberg with a fur coat, just like in the movie — but this one came with an embroidered message that read “Whoopi, Love Harvey.”
