Ryan Reynolds has gotta catch ‘em all.
The “Deadpool” star has signed on to star in the live-action Pokémon movie “Detective Pikachu,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The movie, which also stars Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton of “Big Little Lies,” is “kicked into gear when Smith’s character’s father is kidnapped, forcing the teen to team up with Pikachu in order to find him.”
Reynolds will play Detective Pikachu himself.
The movie is based on a Japan-only installment of the video game franchise and will be helmed by “Goosebumps” director Rob Letterman.
“Detective Pikachu” is expected to start shooting in London in January.
