Roy Hibbert wants the world to know that — believe it or not — he feels worse for the San Bernardino shooting victims than himself for being on the 2-15 Lakers.
In another lesson of “think before you tweet,” the 7-2 center shared on social media, “Despite losing games left and right my heart hurts more for those affected in the #SanBernardino shooting.”
Twitter users responded accordingly, with one tweet saying “I’d f—ing hope so Roy, c’mon man” and another adding “Jesus I would hope so. basketball games aren’t human lives.”
One user chimed in “this tweet will be deleted soon. Comparing a mass shooting to losing basketball games.. What a big moron”
On Wednesday, at least 12 were reported dead in San Bernardino, Calif. after as many as three shooters fired on people inside a facility for the developmentally disabled, according to a local ABC affiliate.
Hibbert joined the Lakers, who last won on Nov. 15, this season after spending his career with the Pacers.
