“America’s Next Top Model” winner Nyle DiMarco’s next job will be a Broadway producer.
The 28-year-old model, actor, “Dancing with the Stars” champ and deaf activist from Queens joins the producing team of the upcoming revival of the drama “Children of a Lesser God.”
“I am so thrilled to join this talented group of producers on a project that is incredibly important and personal to me,” said DiMarco, who is deaf, in a statement.
Mark Medoff’s 1980 Tony Award-winning play concerns the professional and personal relationship between James Leeds and his deaf former student, Sarah Norman.
Motivational individuals who overcame disabilities
Joshua Jackson (“The Affair”) and “Lauren Ridloff” (Wonderstruck) lead the revival beginning previews March 22 at Studio 54.
The 1986 movie adaptation starred William Hurt and Marlee Matlin, who won an Oscar for her performance.
“The opportunity to be involved in the creative process of a such a spectacular Broadway show is a challenge I am excited to conquer,” DiMarco said.
