Not being in the playoffs bites, just ask Noah Syndergaard.
The Mets pitcher was spotted at the Rangers game Tuesday night alongside his girlfriend, Alexandra Cooper. When Fox Sports Midwest cameras got a shot of the pitcher, they caught him in a moment where Cooper’s fingers were in his mouth.
“Not 100% sure what’s happened here, but enjoy the game!” Fox Sports Midwest tweeted.
Fortunately for the Mets, there was no risk of Syndergaard injuring his pitching hand by having his hands bitten.
The Rangers went on to lose the game Tuesday night to the Blues 3-1.
A year ago, Syndergaard was pitching in the Wild Card game for the Mets against the Giants. The pitcher tossed seven shutout innings, allowing only two hits and striking out 10.
However, the Mets couldn’t get a run on the board against Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner and they ended up losing the game 3-0.
This year there was no postseason for the Mets who finished 70-92 in season that was plagued with injuries. Syndergaard was sidelined most of the season with a torn lat muscle in his right arm.
