Police document the extensive injuries to Nicole Holder’s body after the 2014 assault.

Disturbing new police evidence photos released Friday show the damage hulking Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy inflicted on his ex-girlfriend during an assault.

The 2014 attack on Nicole Holder happened in Charlotte, while the 6-foot-4, 278-pound Hardy played for the Carolina Panthers. He was later convicted, then had the conviction reversed on appeal and later expunged from his criminal record.

But damning court documents obtained by Deadspin detail a two-year relationship between the two that was fraught with verbal and often physical abuse that ended with a sobbing Holder fleeing Hardy’s downtown Charlotte apartment and running through the streets barefoot early on May 12, 2014.

A police officer who happened upon the trembling domestic abuse victim asked why she was crying, according to the documents.

“It doesn’t matter,” she told Officer Jeffrey Kendrick. “Nothing is going to happen to him.”

The police evidence photos of Holder’s injuries, taken within 24 hours after the incident, show abrasions, welts, bruises and cuts on her shoulders, face, neck, arms, back and foot.

According to Holder, the volatile NFLer, who frequently goes up against opponent’s best and biggest blockers, had tossed her against a tiled wall, thrown her on a futon and choked her out until she begged him to “kill me so I don’t have to,” Deadspin reported.

During the attack, Hardy “looked so crazy” and told Holder “I should kill you,” she told police.

Hardy, for his part, claimed Holder attacked him; two photos among the 48 pictures obtained by Deadspin shows an indiscernible injury to his face.

“It all happened very, very quickly,” the victim told cops. “None of it really made much sense.”

Upon his arrest, Hardy was forced to turn over 10 guns, including several shotguns and semiautomatic, assault-style rifles.

Some of those weapons were strewn on the futon as Hardy nearly choked out his victim, according to Deadspin.

Hardy spent the bulk of the 2014 season on the commissioner’s exempt list following his conviction, which allowed him to collect his $ 770,000 weekly salary while his legal issues were sorted out. The Cowboys signed him as a free agent in the offseason to an incentive-laden contract and he sat out the first four games of the season while under suspension, a penalty that was reduced from 10 games at arbitration by Harold Henderson, the former executive director of the NFL Management Council.

In his first media availability of 2015, Hardy cracked jokes about women, zeroing in on Tom Brady’s wife, Gisele Bundchen, ahead of the Cowboys’ Week 5 game against the Patriots.

“Have you seen his wife? I hope she comes to the game. I hope her sister comes to the game, all her friends come to the game,” he told reporters.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has rallied around the troubled pass-rusher, calling him “one of the real leaders on this team” after Hardy was seen screaming at teammate Dez Bryant and shoving a coach during a 27-20 loss to the Giants in Week 7.

The NFL and the NFLPA were shown seven photos of Holder while considering discipline for Hardy, ESPN reported.

The Cowboys said Friday that they were aware of the Deadspin story and would have no comment on it.

Hardy, too, declined to speak with reporters after practice Friday.
