MLBPA gives fans chance to win $1 million on Series predictions

The 2017 World Series won’t only crown a new baseball champion — fans are getting a chance to win a cool million by correctly predicting the score of each game in addition to the player chosen as World Series MVP.

As the series pitting the Los Angles Dodgers against the Houston Astros is set to start Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Dodger Stadium in L.A., registration is still open for the 2017 Infield Chatter $ 1 Million “Sweep The Series Challenge,” presented by the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA).

The first one million fans who register for the challenge before Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. EDT (12 p.m. PDT) via the Infield Chatter mobile app and infieldchatter.com — the players’ mobile social community — can make their selections and predictions for the chance to win the $ 1 million.

“We’ve had a blast interacting on Infield Chatter so far this season, and we are pumped to be able to bring fans this incredible challenge for the postseason,” said Dodgers outfielder Curtis Granderson. “Anyone eligible to participate should get on Infield Chatter and register because taking home the $ 1 million prize would be life-changing.”

Even entrants who don’t take home the big prize will still come up as winners. MLB players will donate for each installation of the Infield Chatter app through the end of the World Series, with funds going towards disaster relief efforts in the U.S., the Caribbean and Mexico.

More than 1,100 players are on Infield Chatter, which was launched at the beginning of the 2017 season as a platform for players to connect with fans.

The app is available at the Apple store, Google Play and infieldchatter.com

To be eligible for the 2017 Infield Chatter “Sweep the Series Challenge,” entrants must be 13 years of age or older, be a resident of the U.S. or Canada (excluding Puerto Rico and Quebec, Canada).
