Two members of Mayor de Blasio’s detail pulled over an erratic truck driver on East 18th Street and Avenue P.

Mayor de Blasio is taking Vision Zero very seriously.

Hizzoner spotted a truck driver in Brooklyn run a red light and drive the wrong way down the block on Wednesday, so he had his detail pull the unlucky guy over, sources said.

The detail, who had been sitting in the black SUV they use to drive the mayor around, quickly discovered the man had no registration on the truck and wasn’t licensed to be behind the wheel of such a large vehicle, sources said.

NYC’S VISION ZERO HAS DONE LITTLE TO TARGET RECKLESS DRIVERS

Franky Matarrese was hit with 13 violations — including driving the wrong way on a two-way street, running a red light, and being unqualified to operate a vehicle for driving with an out-of-class license.

He was also hit with failure to yield to a pedestrian — presumably the mayor who was in the crosswalk when the man ran the red light.

The mayor spotted the driver running a red light in Brooklyn on Wednesday.

The source said the driver pulled over as soon as the detail turned on its lights.

A man who was with the beat-up box truck, which is about 20 feet long, Wednesday afternoon insisted he did nothing wrong and that the mayor should butt out.

“I didn’t do anything bad,” the man said.

He said he wasn’t Matarrese, and didn’t run a red light, but did admit getting some traffic tickets.

“It’s f—–g stupid,” he said.

Franky Matarrese was hit with 13 violations — including driving the wrong way on a two-way street, running a red light, and being unqualified to operate a vehicle for driving with an out-of-class license.

He said that he was simply loading boxes from the truck — which was parked on Avenue P facing the wrong way against traffic — when the mayor’s detail approached him.

He said he saw de Blasio, but insisted, “The mayor had nothing to do with this.”

He added, “The mayor is an a—–e.”

A rep for the mayor said its not uncommon for de Blasio to take a hands on approach.

“The Mayor frequently alerts commissioners or agencies when he travels around the city and sees problems that need immediate attention,” said the spokesman.
