“American Idol’s” judging panel may be going country again.
Luke Bryan is reportedly in talks to join Katy Perry as a judge for the rebooted singing competition, according to Variety.
The “Kick the Dust Up” singer would be the second judge on what is expected to be a three-person panel, rather than four like the previous iteration of the show on Fox.
Perry, the first host announced for ABC’s revival, is rumored to be making $ 25 million for the spot on the panel, but Bryan’s contract details are not yet public.
Katy Perry has already signed on for the gig.
Ryan Seacrest, who hosted the show for 15 seasons during its original run, will return as the host.
The third judge has not yet been revealed, but rumors have included Lionel Richie, Charlie Puth and former judge Keith Urban.
The new season of “American Idol” is scheduled to premiere in early March.
